The Moonbeams, Cabaret Style Jazz

Mar 22nd 2014

Welcome!  First timer The Moonbeams perform their Cabaret Style Jazz, on Saturday, March 22nd, in Timber Cove Inn's Sequoia Lounge, from 6:00-9:00pm.

Uptown and down home, The Moonbeams feature the best of the Great American Songbook, from Tin Pan Alley to the sultry Bossa Beats of Brazil to American Blues and Gospel, The Moonbeams deliver great value for your entertainment buck.

The Moonbeams are made up of two gal singers and a hot band.  Led by guitarist and arranger Vince DaLuiso, Hozanna Bauer and Judie Liebling blend voices in soaring harmonies and deft syncopation and revive the lost art of the duet. Aided and abetted by bassist Don Watanabe and Percussionist/Vocalist Patrick Minnifield, The Moonbeams offer a sophisticated variety of music for your listening and dancing pleasure.

The Moonbeams came together originally in 2004 as a jazz band to sing the music of the great songwriters of the 20th century like Gershwin and Cole Porter.  We found there was an appreciative audience for these nostalgic tunes and were soon playing private parties and local Sonoma County venues such as the Hop Monk Tavern, Negri’s in Occidental and the French Garden.  We were pleased to be able to bring our Jazzy Cabaret show to The Aubergine Bar and Cafe in 2012 and became the “Second Sunday” band until its recent closing.  We appeal to those who wish to chat and relax as well as those who want to get up and dance.
